Founding Partner Yas Banifatemi and Of Counsel Safya Akorri will participate in a symposium organized by the Paris Bar to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Held on the occasion of La Nuit du droit, the event will examine the place and influence of the Court in an evolving international order.
Safya Akorri, member of the Paris Bar Association, will open the conference.
Yas Banifatemi will contribute to a panel focused on advocacy and representation before the ICJ, joining Professor Jean-Marc Thouvenin, Secretary-General of The Hague Academy of International Law. The discussion will address the strategic, procedural, and ethical dimensions facing counsel before the world’s premier judicial organ and other international tribunals (including arbitral tribunals). The panel will be moderated by Safya Akorri.
The program features three roundtables gathering leading figures across international adjudication and diplomacy, including Judge Ronny Abraham, Martin Briens, Ambassador François Alabrune, and Professor Emeritus Alain PELLET.
