Conference in Paris on the Laws Applicable to International Arbitration | Launch of the 2nd edition of Cuestiones Claves del Arbitraje Internacional

On 14 October 2026, Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya Disputes will host a conference on “The Laws Applicable to International Arbitration”, on the occasion of the publication of the second edition of Cuestiones Claves del Arbitraje Internacional (Tirant lo Blanch, 2026), edited by Professor Diego P. Fernández Arroyo and Yas Banifatemi.

Professor Pierre Tercier will present the book, followed by a discussion with Professor Luca Radicati di Brozolo and Justice Dominique Hascher on the different laws applicable to international arbitration.

Building on the first edition published in 2013, the new edition of Cuestiones Claves del Arbitraje Internacional revisits fundamental questions in international arbitration and explores new issues that have emerged over the past decade. Particular attention is given to the evolution of arbitration in Latin America, the gradual shift away from traditional procedural and jurisdictional approaches, and the continuing challenges and opportunities arising from arbitration involving States.

The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the complexities arising from the interaction of different legal systems and the evolving landscape of international arbitration.

The event will take place at Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya Disputes, 46 rue Copernic, 75116 Paris, starting at 5:30 p.m., and will be followed by a cocktail reception.

Registration for this event is now closed.
